Graduating
So, for those of you who don’t know me so well, in the next couple of minutes you’ll know more about me than my parents know. I graduated high school in 2008, and made my way to Carleton University. Intending on pursuing criminology with a concentration in law, I ended up majoring in partying. I made the rash decision to move to Montreal with the intention of continuing on the same dark path that I’d been following my entire stay at CU. One night, a night that I will never forget, everything changed. I stopped drinking, smoking, doing drugs, and gave my life to Christ. I still needed a couple of months out of school to get my act together, but in August 2009, I started at John Abbott College in Sainte-Anne-de-Bellevue. Here we are two years later, and I am graduating with a 92.4% average and hopefully going to continue my education at the University of Guelph-Humber this fall. If you were to ask my acquaintances at CU, they would have told you that I’d never make it. They saw me at my rock bottom, and I can’t wait for many of them to see me at my best, with God at my side. Thanks to Liane, and Tyler, and all of my amazing and wonderful friends who have supported me during my hard times, and my best. You all mean the world to me.
